CUSTOM QUILT WORK
THE PROCESS
You can prepare your materials by washing/drying them beforehand. I will look over the pieces, place them in a pattern before cutting, purchase the remaining materials needed (i.e. backing, border materials, etc.) and then begin the cutting & sewing. I like to send an update photo along the way to keep you in the loop! If there is a particular note you have about your materials, please write it down and pin it to the material.
If you would simply like a quilt made from certain color schemes or quilt patterns without contributing any personal fabrics as memorabilia, simply place the order with comments explaining the quilt style you have in mind. I will be in touch to discuss and confirm before starting your project.
What you receive is the finished quilt! Scraps and left over materials are not returned to you, unless specifically requested.
THE TIMELINE
You can expect between 8 to 12 weeks for your project to be completed from the time I receive your memorabilia. If there is a specific date you have in mind, please let me know and I can set a realistic completion date accordingly.
THE PAYMENT
Full payment is made on initiation of the order. I endeavor to personally drop off orders as often as possible. If shipping is required, a second invoice will be sent to the client at that time if not paid on placement of the order.
An exception is made for quilt orders that include more than one quilt AND are being paid for by check. In this situation only, a down payment of 50% per quilt + tax can be made to start the process. The remaining 50% + tax is due by check at the completion of each quilt in that order.
THE FOLLOW-UP
Once the client has their custom quilt in hand, the process is complete! All sales are final and there are no returns or refunds.
In the event that mending (defined here as the sewing to repair or bring back together separation of fabrics) ever becomes necessary, Prayerful Pieces, LLC offers mending to any custom quilt it has produced so long as the LLC is still in the business of quilting. Prayerful Pieces, LLC will not cover the cost of supplies, shipping, or any associated materials that would be needed for mending a quilt. This has never been necessary but a well loved quilt might need a little loving care, down the road. We hope to be here, if it does!
